Total TMX Nutter!

Been thinking if i should post it here or not, as this will probably boost the amount of crappy Blockmix overkill tracks, but if i don't, someone else probably will

TMUnlimiter 0.3: blockmix straight from the official track editor
Yet another blockmixing tool has arrived: TMUnlimiter. Instead of reimplementing track loading and editing like has been done up to now, this tool actually patches the official, ingame track editor and removes the block placement limitations. This means that you can effectively make blocks overlap, place ground-only blocks in the air, etc... directly from the same editor you use to create the rest of your track!

* Place blocks so that they partially or completely overlap
* Place ground-only blocks in the air and air-only blocks on the ground
* Oversize tracks: customize the size of the building area, enlarging it up to 256x256! (See the readme in the download for more information)

TMUnlimiter patches your game in-memory; no files on your harddrive are modified. However, it will only work for TMUF and TMNF . Also, it was written targeting the current version of the game (2.11.26) and will probably keep working for a few versions, but... don't count on it working forever

Download TMUnlimiter 0.3.2:
VS2010 runtime (install if you get an error about msvcr100.dll)
Source code: (C++, VS2010):
TMNF patch 2.11.26 here

Usage: simply extract the archive to your TMNF or TMUF folder (located in Program Files) and run the exe.

Changes in 0.3:

* Fixed a crash related to blocks placed half in the ground
* New feature: oversize tracks

Big request: please don't go flooding TMX with crappy blockmix tracks/flickering blocks..

The fact it's shared on the forum means all builders have access to the same tool, so it isn't cool to crapify your tracks.

1) I sure hope that doesn't happen.. although now I won't have to bother looking around for a program or a hex edit tutorial just so I can try a few.. concepts.

2) You shouldn't be giving out ideas.. because now I wanna see what happens!

When you take these tracks to servers, the game recognizes that there is an impossibly low amount of time between CPs, and real bad things happen.

Like bucky said: if you combine start/cp cp/cp or cp/finish, there is 0.0 time between once you go through..
There's anti cheat plugins a lot of servers use, so if you go through server registers 0,0 between cp's and auto kicks/bans.

not only do you piss off the players on those servers, you also piss off the server admins, which can result in a boycot of all your tracks.

The only annoying thing about this tool is that often when you try to connect things with poles etc, you drag the poles in the buildings etc.

it probably means your PC has memory issues you weren't aware of.
Remember, it loads all in your PC's physical memory.

edit: also be sure to remove in order: last added should be removed 1st to prevent crashing possibility.
