14.12. 13 - Christmas Calendar Project

hi there. here is my entry for this year ccp. I'm glad I'm here with this one. It was about 1 month of building. At first I found a start with sclupture. I did 20 seconds, and after half a month I was not happy. So I've created a new one. It was a better one, yeah much better. Next I build sclupture, I was happy, thought it bumps sometimes, bu I don't care. So... I was building more and more. At the end I wanted to make a intro, but it was bad. Very bad. And I know u don't like my intros. so a week before release I asked ad!key, a nice mt-maker and he say yes. And of course I've asked worm for a nice screen. (:

After everything I did I was preety happy when I finished it. This is 34-35 secs long transitional fullspeeder with a light scenery. Dific is beetwen Intermediate and expert. I've tried to make snowy atmosphere, thought the results are a bit bad. Tried to make it more special than my other maps, but it is of course my huntable fs style, but with some more transitions. Hope it won't be worst track of CCP, and hope you will leave some awards or feedbacks. So here are showcases for these 2 guys who did intro and screen. (:

If you read the text in awards given by Switch and Joost, you could be puzzled. Do they talk about the same track?

Nice, but nothing outstanding..
Sorry in advance if this award is a bit 'negative', but I hope my feedback might inspire you to keep on improving.
The track feels unfinished as v.neck already pointed out. The scenery is way to minimalistic and doesn't have a clear idea behind it. It feels like you just kinda carelessly placed some known combinations IMO

And this carelessness is kind of visible in the trackroute itself. The start is rather boring and that drop onto the sculpture is not really special either. The road turn after that was too wide and as a result it wasn't very flowy in my eyes. The drop to the white roof was cool and the turn with the transition to wallride felt like the highlight. But there it kind of ends IMO. The rest is empty platform driving, without any particular outstanding parts.

All in all, I see potentional, but I would give this track a 6/10 at most. It just feels average and with some more thought it could have been much better in so many ways
My OCD also wants to mention that you shouldn't describe this track as transitional, because it is quite far from being transitional...

Lovely map, but cloud be much better in second half
I specially like your feeling of space and timing, that you present on start with that engine killer, who's only purpose is just to make that arc useful and adds up to creativity factor
