Hello TMX!

I'm very excited to finally come forth again and remind you that I still build tracks. This time it's a big one, so let me tell you what I have here.

Deep Sky Atlas is a transitional speedtech. More specifically, it's my own interpretation of speedtech which probably differs from yours. I drew inspiration from 2009-2010 era, when transitional, yet accessible speedtechs were the hot stuff. I'm thinking of authors like Pagh, FaHoFF, and well, myself. The idea is to have the action from the fancier tracks and the flow from more traditional releases. As a result, I think many people will have fun playing this track regardless of their skill.

My trademark trackbuilding principles are very visible in this track. I'm keeping the track fresh and interesting by constantly varying altitude, driving surfaces and slides. I think the verticality is especially important for a sense of depth, as I have lots of jumps and drops to make fluent transitions between surfaces. These transitions are quite forgiving in their nature, and should be unique enough to grant a fresh driving experience. As it's a speedtech, hunting is going to be very intense as you are trying to get the best out of every flying corner. Hopefully we'll see a great hunt!

The scenery is a bit of an experiment. I haven't really done this kind of day mood scenery, even if I adore it when people like Fytrim, Darknoob, Kendal and Pagh did it right, so I definitely enjoyed creating my version of this style. It's heavy and quite vibrant, mixing different colors to make it stand out. I also paid extra attention to it's functionality: I wanted to guide the player with shapes instead of sign spam, maybe this way the player will feel more involved as he is not hand-held through the track. I had a great respect for the driving line so I don't think you'll see any blind corners.

Mediatracker is yet another step into mental instability, and I'm not sure if you should watch it. I'm really not sure what happened there..

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this track as much as I enjoyed creating it!

That feeling when my car crossed the finish line and I saw my time...Finally !

I have to say I absolutely love your vision of speedtech. There are some nice ideas implemented throughout the track, and every single one of them works really well, which means the flow here is terrific. The route feels so intuitive and natural, and just driving through the track at that speed is awesome, a feeling that's reinforced by the wonderful atmosphere you created with that scenery. I really don't know what to say about it, for some reason it doesn't look too great when I look at it but on the other hand it makes the driving experience even better, so I'd say you did a great job with that. Obviously - and that's just my opinion - these kind of transitional tracks are hardly suited for hunting, as getting both the transitions and the slides right is a real challenge, and there are always some annoying spots here and there, and unfortunately this one is no exception. I mean I really enjoyed hunting this track, and what I'm about to mention is the only negative thing I could find here, but honestly that last slide... It's almost impossible to get through it without getting bugged, and that ruined so much good runs. But oh well, it's still one of the best tracks I've seen in quite a while. Well done!

after 5 min of trying my gpu feels like a reactor short before gau
i would like to drive it longer but first i have to wait for cooling down
what i saw was beautiful sapph - you made it so complex with a nice speed and cool transitions
maybe the end is not everybodys (my) darling, but it fit's to the track style.

Great track! Lovely slides and turns, easy to finish for a fs driver like me. You also did very well with the day mood scenery. Especially the beautiful overview reminded me of a Fytrim track.

Wow. Very good and I love the sensational feeling it gives. It's like a fresh breath of air after being locked in a office for a whole day.

The transitions works perfect with my mellow driving. Feels like, though it's very good and calculated, that it should hand out maybe one or two blows for the really fast drivers.

But hey, it suits me perfectly since I can't drive that fast

Gonna check out the trackers that you drew some inspiration from, thanks for bringing that to the table.
