|The changes laid out in the news post below are now LIVE!
It is now possible to upload your replays even if they are not in the Top 10 of a track. So everyone can, for example, upload replays to Nadeo maps! Go go go
|Hey everyone! Tomorrow we are finally rolling out the first part of the bunch of updates and improvements we have in mind this year. Huge thanks to Dennis for being able to implement the changes into the website!
From tomorrow evening on, you can upload any replay you want to the site, even those that aren't in top 10 at the time. We've also massively changed the Nadeo leaderboard to be more fun to everyone. Interface changes are soon coming to reflect all of the new features we are adding to the site.
*unlocked replay upload for outside the current top 10
*new formula to determine the Nadeo map scoring (beta)
*competition patch requirement lifted for replays below top 30
*URL structure has been changed (no more auto-links!) (beta)
*'view all replays' menu has been tweaked for new functionality
*other quality-of-life improvements
See here for an explanation on how the LBs work!
|Disclose past cheated replays to TMX (blog entry)
Fair play is important to us - we want to ensure that our records database is clean of cheated replays. Unfortunately, it's possible that some past records have been cheated without us knowing.
We're currently investigating past replays on the sites. That is a tall order, which is why we want to give players the opportunity to assist us in our investigation.
We therefore offer players the chance to privately let the crew know about their own cheated replays, and how they were cheated. This could go a long ways towards helping with our investigations on the technical side.
In return, we will reduce, or remove, the penalty that would have happened had we found the replays on our own. And we will not share your name with anyone outside the crew.

|In light of recent findings by an investigation that was carried out independently of TMNF-X, some replays have come under scrutiny for alleged unusual behavior.
As host of one of the largest databases of replays, this has prompted us within the wider TMX and ManiaExchange crew to begin our own investigation (independent of anyone involved in the initial allegations). We have no estimation for when our investigation will conclude, as we want to look at this from every possible angle.
We urge people to keep an open mind and to not participate in any speculations.
|An important announcement for everyone interested in uploading replays to classic or nadeo maps:
From May 1st on it is required to have the TrackMania Competition Patch installed in order to be eligible to upload replays to those types of maps.
What is the TM Competition Patch?
It is a special patch for the game that stops players from cheating, such as by using macros, slowing down the game and other forms of injecting inputs.
Why is this necessary?
It gets easier and easier to have computer programs assist or completely take over your run (for example TAS'ing). Sometimes, it can be very difficult to detect if players use such external tools (which are considered cheats!). Requiring the patch allows us to stop cheating.
How does the patch work?
The patch is simply installed into the game's installation directory and from there, the patch will always work when you open the game. The patch is in no way invasive - it does not install any low level drivers on your system or collect any data about it.
Why only on Classic and Nadeo maps?
We cannot ask every single player that uploads replays to TMX to use the patch. Some players play once every few month and will have no idea that this patch exists. Asking everyone to download the patch, therefore, feels like asking too much. Instead, we focus on the most prestigious tracks where clean leaderboards are most important.
More Info & Download
For more information and the download check the website of the patch, the official discord server of the developer or the forum thread.
